Twins Elvis Aaron (Aron) and Jesse Garon Presley were born on January 8th, 1935 in East Tupelo. Unfortunately, Jesse Garon Presley was still born.

On October 3rd, 1945 Elvis made his first public appearance. He entered a singing contest at the Mississippi-Alabama Fair and Dairy Show and placed fifth.

Dick York

Richard Allen “Dick” York was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on September 4th, 1928.

His career began on the CBS radio program “That Brewster Boy” at age 15.

He was best known for his role as “Darrin Stephens” in the TV series “Bewitched” which he received an Emmy nomination for in 1968.

Dudley Moore

Dudley Moore was born on April 19th, 1935 in Dagenham, England. He was a short man who was frequently the butt of jokes during his childhood. He became a choirboy at six and started to play the piano and the violin.

As a result of his musical talent he received a scholarship to Magdelen College in Oxford and during his years at university became an accomplished jazz pianist and composer which lead him to work with musicians such as John Dankworth and Cleo Laine. He formed a band called “Dudley Moore Trio” in the 1960’s. The “Dudley Moore Trio” performed regularly on British television and where a long-standing act at the London nightclub, The Establishment.

James Stewart

James Stewart was born in Indiana, Pennsylvania on May 20th, 1908 and was popularly known as Jimmy Stewart.

James Stewart attended Princeton as a member of the Class of 1932. He excelled in the study of architecture and was awarded a scholarship for graduate studies but he was drawn to the drama and music clubs.

As a member of the University Players Club he met Henry Fonda in 1932. Henry Fonda encouraged James to screen test for MGM.

Charles Bronson

Charles Bronson was born Charles Dennis Buchinsky on November 3rd, 1921 in Ehrenfeld, Pennsylvania.  He was the 11th of 15 children and both his parent were immigrants from Lithuania.

He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1943 and served as an aircraft gunner in the 760th Flexible Gunnery Training Squadron then later as a B-29 Super fortress crewman with the 39th Bombardment Group in 1945.  He was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received during his service.
